at an outside broadcast from Leyland,
with Alison Butterworth and Gang!

was at Avant Garden Centre, Leyland,
where I made seasonal treats, and
got Gilly decorating some cakes!

A great day, lots of laughter, and a wonderful walk
along The Ribble, and through it, at one point!

I caught up with the
delightful Stephen Lowe, broadcasting from Birkacre Nursery, Chorley...
I was judging the staff Apple Bake Off, and had a brilliant time with everyone!

BBC TV news!

Below was my earlier post...

The programme is 'Flog It!', with presenter, Paul Martin.

My cookery slot is their first in ten series of the programme,
which airs sometime between Oct and the New Year; watch for details!

It all went amazingly well although nerves overtook me, on arrival, but, once cooking,
I was back in my 'comfort zone', and the day went, 'Brilliantly!' according to the crew!
I'm just so pleased they didn't tell me that up to 4 million
people watch each episode, until after I'd finished!

A 'fabulous' experience, with fantastic support from Lynn, my 'Fairy Godmother', who was a 'star'!

The BBC are coming to film me,
cooking my Lancashire tortilla,
as an 'insert' item in a non-foodie programme;
Wow; I can't believe it!

It started with the director wanting me to suggest venues and talk about local recipes,
but she loved my 'passion' for Lancashire, and its food so much,
that she asked me to cook for the crew!

There are lots of people who have supported, and encouraged me, so an enormous,
'Thank you'! to everyone for believing in me!
A special mention to Alison Brown, from BBC Radio Lancashire,
who, a long time ago, asked me onto her
'My Top Ten' programme,
as her guest, my first, very nervous, BBC airing!

Oh, the TV director and researcher concur... I'm 'as mad as a mattress'!

Cookery School

Following my recent health 'scare', I am currently catching up on things...
new dates for the cookery school to follow, shortly.

"I'm amazed at how many wonderful dishes you produced in the course of the day!"

"My course had been a birthday gift, and I can honestly say,
it's one of the best that I've ever had - thanks, Dad!"

"I'm already checking out your website to see which course I'd like to attend next!"

I have already been asked to reproduce some of the dishes for the rest of the family,
especially the tiramisu!!

There's a new ITV series, 4p.m., "There's no taste like home."
with Gino D'Acampo, coming very soon!

Did Gino like the 'w*lly warmer' that Mrs. Hornby made him,
and the 'pome' I wrote to accompany it?!
There's not much to rhyme with 'stallion'!
Poem is in 'events', scroll right down, and find, here, on the left hand side!

Gino 'loved' the gift, when asked how I knew what size, I said,
"Extra large, but of course!"
At which point he 'high-fived' me, proclaiming,
"Fantastico, Pheeeeleeeppa!"

Watch out for me, in the background, dining, thankfully,
not cooking, although I had been on 'stand-by' from 5a.m.,
in case anyone was unable to make the filming!

I was at Thornton & Ribchester Farmers' Markets, recently,

I was demonstrating quick and easy family meals
and giving out free tasters, using produce from the market.

To help celebrate Radio Lancashire's 40th anniversary,
Gilly and Carole invited me in to take a look back at some of the food
from the 1970's... Crispy Pancakes, Arctic roll, packet curries...
can I try and bring them up to date? And even make them a bit healthier?!

with some lovely reminiscences from Paul throughout the evening.

Lancashire Food Festival,
in April, I demonstrated some
"Fast and Furious Family Dishes"
and ran children's cookery workshops,
when not oggling 'King of the Jungle', Gino D'Acampo,
who was as delightful, as ever!

{It is purely coincidental that, after his last day
with Philippa, Gino was seen heading towards camp, shouting,
"I'm a celebrity! Get me into there!"}
